Spreading joy this holiday season for our Elders

At BlaQ, we believe in giving back to our community and prioritizing the health and well-being of those who paved the way for us. We were excited to be able to deliver 50 Christmas Hampers to our Elders in the recent holiday season.

These hampers were packed with nutritious goodies and festive treats to ensure our Elders feel cherished, supported, and celebrated during this special time of year.

About the HEAL logo

This logo tells the story of the HEAL (healthy eating, active living) program by BlaQ Aboriginal Corporation. It shows a yarning circle on the lefthand side surrounded by people (upside down ‘U’ shapes) – this represents the safe space within the HEAL Program for people from all walks of life to engage with the program, learn skills that they can implement into their lives by their choice.

At the centre of this yarning circle is a representation of people with knowledge sticks to represent the space of sharing knowledge but also taking time to reflect and listen to what is being shared.

Towards the right side of the yarning circle are journey lines to represent the different journeys people will take in their health journey with the understanding that health and wellbeing needs to take a wholistic approach and acceptance that healthy looks different for each individual.

The HEAL program is a safe space for people to learn, to share and to better  understand themselves to journey through life.
