BlaQ offer a range of training workshops for community members as well as corporates, government organisations and non-government organisations.

Community workshops

Community training workshops occur at various times during the year and is offered free to BlaQ Members and Community. Community Living Skills workshops are customised and can offer a basic understanding of:

 

  • The importance of budgets
  • Renting laws 
  • The use of financial credit
  • Personal presentation
  • Meal preparation
  • CV and job application writing
  • Virtual connections
  • Creative workshops

Organisation workshops

BlaQ offers training for organisations to help in increasing staff understanding of matters relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the LGBTQ+SB community, as well as making their workplaces more culturally safe and inclusive to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and LGBTQ+SB peoples. These workshops are delivered by BlaQ staff who have lived experience and understand the nuances of living at the unique intersection of culture, and gender and sexual diversity.

 

Organisations and Corporates have the option of requesting singular modules as a one-off workshop, or can customise a package of modules to meet their needs.
